HI MY NAME IS MARGARET MYNATT AND I HAVE BEEN A STUDENT AT ABC NAIL SCHOOL SINCE FALL 2005. CINDY
HEIDEMANN HAS MADE SCHOOL FOR ME AFFORDABLE AND FUN. I HAD LOOKED INTO MANY OTHER SCHOOLS
CLOSER TO MY HOME IN YORKVILLE ILLINOIS BUT THEY JUST DID NOT SEEM TO COMPARE TO ABC. I HAVE
FOUND THAT IN OTHER SCHOOLS THE STUDENTS DID NOT GET THE SAME ATTENTION THAT IS NEEDED TO
BECOME A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS PERSON IN THIS TRADE. CINDY HAS ALWAYS GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND
WHEN IT COMES TO HER STUDENTS AND THAT ISNT JUST FOR ME. SHE TREATS EVERY STUDENT EQUALLY AND
GIVES RESPECT TO US ALL.
THERE ARE A FEW SCHOOLS CLOSER TO ME BUT I WOULD RATHER DRIVE THE 50 MILES TO LAKE IN THE HILLS
AND BE GIVEN THE PROPER EDUCATION I NEED AND DESERVE.
SINCERELY,
MARGARET MYNATT
Deciding to return to school, 18 years after I graduated college, in order to start a new career for myself was extremely
scary! Once meeting Cindy Heidemann at A.B.C. School of Nail Technology most of my fears subsided. She is so
reassuring, positive, and approachable that I new immediately I wanted to sign up for classes. I have only attended school
for 3 days and have already learned so much. Each day I come home from school excited and looking forward to the next
day. It feels so good to be involved with such a dedicated school. I Know I will be so knowledgeable and skilled once I
graduated. I am so fortunate to have found Cindy and A.B.C.
Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:
Being a client of Sugar and Spice Parties & Spa over the past few years has been a very positive experience for me
personally. Not only do I receive a bit of pampering with a manicure and pedicure, the prices are extremely reasonable.
The owner, Cindy, is a very easy going person and is flexible to make an appointment for you on your time; not necessarily
on her time.
Since the salon has been open, as a client, I have seen the growth in business bloom. In the early days it seemed as
though Cindy was a one-woman shop, a jack of all trades I’d say. Now you walk in there to find several students from the
addition of the ABC Nail School, a half dozen teens working a birthday party in the party room and Cindy thinking of the
next growth opportunity to expand upon her dream.
Cindy loves to be part of community events, fundraiser and networking. I meet her by being a member of the Algonquin-
Lake in the Hills Jaycees which she joined early on as a business in the community. Since then not only is Cindy active
with our chapter, but has been involved in successfully running the Little Miss & Mr. Pageants of The Summer Sunset
Festival and The Founders’ Day Festival along with being an entry in both festival parades. But that is just the tip of the
iceberg … there are countless amount of fundraisers she has been involved with, held at her salon and/or made a
donation. I don’t think she ever turns anyone away.
Being a client for me is not the only reason that keeps me coming back to Sugar and Spice; but also the friendship with
Cindy that has developed between us. It not at every salon that you can form a friendship with the owner, but Cindy makes
it very easy to do so with her.
There are several reasons Sugar and Spice deserves the recognition and honor of receiving the Gordon Larson Business
Achievement Award from the Village of LITH. Significant Business growth, Business Beautification, LITH Community
Support, Quality & Customer Service and Product Pricing are just to name a few.
Best regards,
Kari Krause
